The Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) has started routine maintenance at its 430-megawatt Geregu Power Plant in Kogi State to boost operational efficiency and electricity generation.

The four-week minor inspection, conducted by Siemens Energy, aims to enhance the plant’s performance and reliability, ensuring it meets its power supply obligations to the national grid.

NDPHC’s Managing Director, Engr. Jennifer Adighije, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting President Bola Tinubu’s goal of universal electricity access.

The maintenance includes extended minor inspections and alignment checks on the plant’s three Siemens turbine units, preparing for future major inspections. The exercise is expected to improve asset utilization, revenue performance, and reliable power supply to support national development.

Siemens Energy’s Site Manager confirmed the maintenance is on track, with the plant’s machines in good condition.

NDPHC’s Managing Director, Engr. Jennifer Adighije emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting President Bola Tinubu’s goal of universal electricity access.
