The Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited (NDPHC) has commenced a major electricity infrastructure project to improve power supply in Rigasa, Kaduna State, after nearly 15 years of inadequate electricity.

The project, facilitated by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group (BAT-IG), comprises 2km of 11kV line, 1.5km of 33kV line and a 7.5MVA injection substation.

Kaduna State Deputy Governor, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, who performed the groundbreaking on October 23, 2026, commended NDPHC for the intervention.

The project followed sustained advocacy by BAT-IG Convener, Comrade Bamidele Atoyebi, to NDPHC MD/CEO, Engr. Jennifer Adighije.

The intervention reinforces NDPHC’s commitment to bridging electricity gaps, supporting economic activities and improving lives in underserved communities.
